This is the more complex version
This is the more complex version of the bunch that youll find for this song. Its the only one that includes the piano rolls (sorry, dont know the technical term) that go from bottom to top often heard in the solo of this song as well as the more complex (full) left hand. For beginners this may be more than you want but personally Id prefer it in any case (depends on the beginner). This is considered to be the Francis Lai version. Both of the other versions are much easier but leave out parts youll most likely wish you had for the beautiful rolls. Since I started playing Ive always chosen only the piece that is the most accurate to the original and this is that one. If you stray from the complex versions youll never fully challenge yourself in my opinion and striving for perfection (for me anyway) at least makes my worst performance better than where I would be at if I only strived to learn a lesser version. Some good facts about this song: This is the theme from the movie Love Story and is the only theme in history to have three versions in the Top 40 at the same time (February of 1971): Henry Mancinis Love Story (#14), Francis Lais Love Story (#33), and Andy Williams "Where Do I Begin" (#35).

Perfect arrangement! Has some challenging measures in it that may require some practice, but is well worth it!

Love Story Theme
The first few bars of this song is a well known melody, but unknown to most, as it was to a student who hummed it for me. I found the arrangement to be "faithful" to the original, which is more orchestrated. This particular arrangement is more associated with the ending credits rendition, and so an instrumental affair. There are some wonderful challenges in this piece, big arppegiations with the left hand, technique that suggests Chopin. Not a short piece, either, so will take time to learn, let alone memorise.
