a high intermediate arrangement
This is a 9-page arrangement of the song, with a near 3 page piano solo in the middle. The piano arrangement in general is slightly more complex than many of the pop tune arrangements, and the solo, still intermediate, but more difficult.

A beautiful song that deserves to be played more
This Barry Manilow tune with a Johnny Mercer lyric was best covered, in my opinion, by Nancy LaMott. Thats the version, in a medley with Autumn Leaves, that made me fall in love with this song. Not as hard to play as I expected and oh so worth trying.

A Hidden Gem
In a rare pairing, Barry Manilow and lyricist supreme Johnny Mercer have created an amazing piece of music that provides vocalists and pianists a chance to shine together and create a magical musical moment. I was surprised by the complexity of Manilows music, having disregarded most of his output as pop pulp. The melody line is a bit tricky in parts and theres a significant key change half way through. I didnt take the time to read through the entire song before printing; had I done so, I would have stayed with the original key which has a slightly easier key change. As always, Mercer finds a way to bring a poignant voice to the most complex of emotions. This is lounge music at its best.
