Lyrics Begin:

Lydia, oh! Lydia - say have you seen Lydia? Lydia, the Tattooed Lady. She has eyes that folks adore so. And a torso, even more so. Lydia oh Lydia, that encyclopedia - Oh! Lydia the Queen of Tattoo. On her back is the battle of Waterloo, beside it the wreck of the Hesperus too, And proudly above waves the red white and blue - you can learn a lot from Lydia! (Whistle)

Such fun!

I needed a novelty number for a show Ive written and remembered Robin Williams singing this song in The Fisher King. My cast had never heard the song before so I did a little research. I discovered that Harold Arlen had written it for Groucho Marx who adopted it as his signature song. It was fun watching the videos on YouTube of his performances of the song. Thanks to Musicnotes I was able to download the music; which I never imagined Id be able to find.

1st digital download- Lydia, the Tattooed Lady

I had no idea how this would work out, being late to enter the cyber-world of downloading, etc. But the music, lyrics, layout, and details were all there, perfectly printed out and ready to enjoy! I'll be back for more musical treasures. Selsav
