stunning!

this is an amazing piece from yentl, but very difficult. Ive found that this piece works best when the accompanist is accomplished enough to improvise a little over the written piano melodies so create a free flowing feel, but its a very good arrangement as it stands.

Basic arrangement

This is an incredibly basic arrangement that makes it very difficult to follow for a vocalist. It only contains key chord structures, an then the "accompaniment" is written to match the vocalist note-for-note. This is incredibly lazy arranging, and of limited usefulness for anyone looking to prepare this song as a solo. If you have an accompanist who is skilled enough to embellish on the emptiness between the key chords that begin each measure, perhaps they can listen to the recording and figure out how to keep the song in motion.
