Kevin's interest in music began at a young age, starting with piano lessons at the age of seven. Into early adulthood, he would often play in combination with his brother and four sisters and would arrange music for them to perform on piano, harp, and violin. Much of his professional career has centered on church music. He has served at a number of churches, including St. Joseph Monastery Parish in Baltimore, MD and St. Lawrence Parish in Lafayette, IN. Many of his arrangements originated from working with a variety of musicians at these churches. Kevin has a B.A. in Applied Piano from Indiana Wesleyan University and an M.M. in musicology from Ball State University. He also has done significant work toward a Ph.D. in Musicology with a minor in Sacred Music at The Catholic University of America. He has studied piano with Phoenix Park-Kim; organ with John Maher, Kirby Koriath, and Robert Grogan; conducting with Leo Nestor; and musicology with Murray Steib and Andrew Weaver.
