Musicnotes, located in Madison, WI, is seeking a User Experience Designer to shape and implement the digital experience through their innovative approach. Our creative team is actively improving Musicnotes' website and app experiences. We're searching for a designer to join this effort who will bring their expertise and perspective to help shape design decisions in a collaborative environment. In this position, you will focus on building, testing, and improving user experiences for our website, iOS and, Android apps. A typical day will include working with our Marketers, Designers, and Software Engineers to bring life to your ideas. What You'll Do:

  • Continuously audit, find problems, and create solutions for existing website and app experiences
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and own the process for testing, prioritizing, refining, and implementing new designs using a dedicated A/B testing tool.
  • Work with app and web teams to maintain existing design systems / component libraries
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate complex business requirements into user flows, clear wireframes, mockups, and prototypes that lead to intuitive customer experiences
  • Communicate regularly with stakeholders and other departments
  • Contribute to Musicnotes' design standards for the highest possible quality, ease of use, and consistent look and feel

What You'll Bring:

  • 2+ years of relevant experience working in Graphic Design, UX Design, Web Design or related field. Bachelor’s degree is a plus. 
  • Passion for elegant design and simplicity
  • HTML and CSS proficiency
  • Experience with user testing, A/B testing, and natural eye for design
  • Proficiency in UI/graphic design software (Adobe XD, Illustrator, Photoshop, InVision, Sketch)
  • Self-starter who can create and hit personal goals – being able to work with a team as well as independently is required
  • Online portfolio/website/PDF with design experience
  • Passion for music is a plus
