Un Dia De Noviembre

Tho this is not a particularly difficult piece; at least on the 1st page; the 2nd page is much more challenging & quite beautiful in the Cuban sensibility. In the 2nd part the pace picks-up quite a bit (not noted), and there are several mistakes in the notation. I have a recording of Brouwer playing the piece and was able to correct them as well as tempo markings, etc.

Measure 48

If you can’t play measure 48 you’re not alone! It’s physically impossible! Must be a mistake. Cut out the C note and replace it with an E found on the 1st string. The D note is not supposed to be a half note. Only the bass note B and the highest harmony note E (the one we replaced the C with) is a half note. Funny how people arrange stuff that are not even guitar players. Other than that this is an amazingly intuitive piece composed for the guitar by Cuba’s Leo Brouwer. He’s still alive today so he is classified as a modern composer/classical guitarist. He has a wide range of works. My first introduction to the man was a YouTube video and I highly suggest you check it out if you find this piece inspiring: https://youtu.be/JvQznyMsgUY Or just go to YouTube and search: “Leo Brouwer La Murete Del Angel”
