Lil Darling - Beginner Sheet Music

3/1/2021 10:28:56 PM

I first heard this music as a teenager in the 50s or early 60s with lyrics sang by Bobby Darin, a young man who, I think, wanted to be the next Sinatra. It was entitled "Dont Dream of Anybody But Me so I was quite surprised that its name was "Lil Darling", an instrumental. In 1962, when I started college, a jazz station had a show that started at midnight and either Bobby Darin or Ella Fitzgerald sang the song. So I found the Beginners Version of Lil Darling some that was a find. The left hand chords are clearly stated in a non musical, no notes manner and the melody is on the Treble staff showing the placement of the notes with the notes given their proper names. So it will aid me inm learning to read music. Its a wonderful way for us older guys (78) to get a handle on reading music. I have been playing since grade school. A rather static left hand and a decent right - playing to entertain myself. So I plan to purchase other Beginner Music Sheets; its ideal for me.
