Sophisticated modern rag

I discovered this piece after hearing the George Winston version. Its an interesting rag with plenty of jazzy dissonances. If you have smallish hands like I do you will have to either modify some chords or dislocate a joint, as with most rags. Overall Im very pleased with the piece!

This piece will challenge the advanced player with its complex chords and rhythms. Stay true to every note and persevere with your fingering to get the most satisfying experience. Dont go too fast, too early. Wait until you are really confident with the chords, cadences and transitions before attempting the recommended pace. The three sections lend themselves to separate practice sessions. Im glad to have accepted the challenge of this piece and believe it is an absolute gem for piano soloists to have up their sleeve.
