This is a perfect audition piece for musical theater tenors or bari-tenors. Shows a lot vocally and dramatically. Also shows ability to really convey the text, as it has lots of fast patter and the text is what sells the song. Can be a real showstopped, if done well!

Swinging good song from Guys and Dolls. Energetic and dynamic tempos for students to enjoy. Opportunity for solos that give students an opportunity to shine.

Really wish the song didnt just end and included the "sit down youre rocking, sit down, sit down, sit down your rocking the boat" ending. Also, would be helpful to have a version with back up harmonies!

I love the arrangement, except for the ending. It just ends after the three verses unlike the actual song in the musical where Nicely holds out "Sit down" so I wish it included that but still useful for auditions!

This was an excellent and easy to use arrangement. The vocal part was easy to follow, and the accompaniment was easy to play; at my most recent audition, the accompanist remarked how well written and easy the piano part was. Incredibly good song, has gotten me several good parts.
