Good for a beginner

Just re-started playing after a 10-year hiatus. This piece is great for me because, though it is easy to read and play, the arrangement is nice and sounds pretty.

This selection made popular by Donnie McClurkin is a great piece-both music and text. As a musician-director it was a great joy to learn this rhythmic/syncopated piece, teach it to the singers, practice with the singers and instruments, and perform--just that simple! Even more it is fun to play, and is well received by its congregants/listners. The song text extols the virtues of God making the performers and listeners relish in the rhythmic flow and delivery of such uplifting text...brings a lot of energy to a service. Either a verse was added after the song was penned, or it was inadvertantly omitted in this edition. There was a verse 6, "I call You Savior" Otherwise the music and text are well written, easy to learn, and fun to perform.
