If you want piano accompaniment here is what you need to do

OK I was confused by this. This solo for this alto sax is in the key of C minor. For an alto sax (an E flat instrument) the accompaniment must be written in the key of E flat minor. Therefore you need to find the E flat minor version of Take Five - identified as the piano accompaniment - elsewhere on the site if you want to play piano with this solo. When you find the piano accompaniment you will see the top stanza that looks like it would be the alto sax solo - its not. Its the transposed piano solo in E flat minor as if the piano were the soloist. This confused me. To make matters even more confusing (or maybe simpler) there is also a package that contains both this solo and the separate piano accompaniment. Purchasing together saves a little money over purchasing the two parts separately. Finally, I was confused by the fact that the piano accompaniment was 5 pages and the alto sax solo part was only 2. No worries - the sax part is simply printed in a more concise format - both pieces have 68 measures. We dont know this because you cant see the entire piece online in the preview. Hope Im not the only one confused by this - Id feel stupid if I were.
