Understanding this was a free selection its hard to complain but the arrangement didnt make much sense. It seemed to take an upbeat Christmas song and make it something else. Besides using minor chords and uninteresting sounds the result was often unpleasant. As youre playing the piece you really have to ask yourself, am I playing this incorrectly and/or why am I playing this at all? It hurt my perfect pitch. As an aside, Ive received other free selections that were actually quite good. As to this, dont waste the paper if youre printing it.

A Disappointing Christmas Carol

I generally only write positive feedback of sheet music I purchase on this site,but Jarrods latest arrangement leaves me quite confused and disappointed. The song choice is very peculiar as We Wish You A Merry Christmas is not really a piece ,that in my opinion, works well in this "style" on solo piano. I find it baffling that fans of Jarrod have waited an entire year for new music of his and this is the quality he delivers. Jarrod has always been able to create show-stopping masterpieces especially with his Christmas arrangements,but this just feels like a step backwards. Also I think there is a mistake on the sheets - the "C" in measure 62 is supposed to be sharpened ,just like every other "C" between measures 59 and 70. Maybe even the "C" in measure 71 should also be raised a half tone (,but I am not entirely sure about that one though). I hope Jarrod will amaze us again with his future arrangements!
