An arrangement true to the sound and feel of the original11/10/2016 5:09:54 PMThis is an easy piece in C major, highly reminiscent of traditional church music. However, if you listen to Billy Joels original, that static chord progression is what he is playing. There is no difficult timing and being a ballad, it is a relatively slow piece. It is a simple one to memorise and have under your belt for the times youre asked to play something in public. It is rare that I would suggest a cover is better than the original, but listen to the Belgian singer Sonny Vande Putte for the complexities of the harmony that a single voice cannot convey. Once youve listened to that youll be able to bring to the piece an emphasis that the rock/pop rendition of Joels did not have.

And So It Goes3/12/2017 9:11:04 PMI originally heard this piece on a cruise. I was so happy to find it for sale. It is one of my favorite arrangements: very moving and calming.
